- Vulnerability Assessment: Devices are assessed to ensure critical and high risk weaknesses have been identified and addressed.

What testing is carried out for Cyber Essentials Plus?
- Validation Checks: Checks that the network and devices being tested are in line with expectations, providing assurance and alignment.
- Remote Vulnerability Assessment: Checks whether an internet-based opportunist could hack into you’re your system using typical (low-skill based) techniques
- Patching and Further Vulnerabilities: Identifies missing fixes that could be exploited – these include patches, updates, registry fixes, configuration changes, scripts and other mechanisms to fix a known vulnerability
- Malware Protection: Checks that devices are benefitting from a basic level of malware protection, to reduce the chances of being infected with malicious software.
